I offer weekly, 90-minute, in-home creative instruction sessions.
  • $70.00 per individual session
  • $240.00 monthly (4 sessions)
  • $600.00 quarterly (12 sessions)
NOTE: There is a one-time “meet and greet” session that enables me to plan, prepare, and tailor supplies for weekly sessions ($50.00 fee)

Included in cost:
All supplies and materials.
Tailored instruction specific to the desires and challenges of each individual.
A quarterly personalized portfolio of each student’s work.

Annually, I also document, curate, and arrange an art show displaying the work of my students.
Do you know a student whose self-esteem would benefit from supportive successes in creativity?

Would your teaching style be enriched with some fresh and specific professional training?

I have more than 20 years of experience
teaching painting classes to individuals and groups, including school fundraising mural projects, children, adult, and senior painting classes and parties, as well as making and selling my own art. Having instructed, watched, and participated in creative processes with thousands of people, I continue to believe that art is an expression, a language, an outlet for one’s heart and mind to be seen, heard, felt, and acknowledged.

While living in Asheville, North Carolina, a group of artists and myself taught weekly classes to students with autism. The classes culminated with an open-to-public art show. Through this experience, I more completely understood that the process of creating is a form of communication. People who had little to no verbal communication, applied to canvas stories and snapshots of their thought process. Through each individual’s style and completed paintings, I recognized the person. Through art, I had a glimpse of each student’s lens of the world around them, channeled through color, texture, and pattern. The stubborn persistence of each one’s process, telling their stories without words, challenged and changed my own process.

Students who work with me are not given a grade or report card, but instead have a portfolio, resume, an autobiographic visual collection of work that says...

“THIS IS ME, MY STORY, THE WAY I SEE THE WORLD.”
